Peer Review Model
NYSJ uses single-anonymous peer review: reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors, while reviewers may receive author-identifying manuscript information. Research manuscripts should normally receive at least two independent expert reviewer reports. Reviewer recommendations inform editorial decisions but do not replace editor judgment.
Reviewer Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Declare conflicts of interest.
- Provide objective, evidence-based and constructive reports.
- Report integrity or ethics concerns confidentially to the editor.
- Do not upload confidential manuscripts to unapproved external AI services.
