Research Data, Software & Reproducibility
Authors should provide a clear data-availability statement and, where appropriate, identify repositories, accession numbers, code availability and supporting datasets. See the detailed Data Availability and Reproducibility Policy.
Artificial Intelligence
AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Any material use of generative AI in manuscript preparation or research workflows must follow NYSJ policy and be disclosed where required. Confidential peer-review material must not be submitted to unauthorized external AI services.
Article Review Charges & Editorial Independence
NYSJ charges no APC. Article Review Charges are US$100 for international authors and PKR 5,000 for Pakistani authors, per submitted manuscript. Review starts only after the journal office confirms receipt of the charges. International payments use Polar; Pakistani payments use JazzCash account +923004800595. Payment does not guarantee acceptance.
Before You Submit
- Confirm the manuscript is within NYSJ scope.
- Confirm all authors approve the submission.
- Check authorship, ethics, conflict, funding and data declarations.
- Ensure figures, tables and references are complete.
- Prepare suggested reviewers where requested, without inappropriate conflicts.
- Review the final files before completing the online submission.
Reference Style
References should be complete, internally consistent and sufficient to identify each cited source. Include author names, article or chapter title, source title, year, volume/issue where applicable, page range or article number, and DOI or other persistent identifier when available. Authors should verify every reference against the original source before submission.
After Acceptance & Proofs
After formal acceptance, the manuscript enters production. NYSJ may request final editable files, high-resolution figures, completed declarations and publication metadata. A proof is then supplied to the corresponding author for checking. Proof corrections should normally be limited to production errors, factual corrections and essential clarifications rather than substantial rewriting.
Copyright, Open Access & Licensing
NYSJ is an open-access journal. Copyright and reuse terms will be communicated to authors before review begins and displayed on each published article. The exact article licence will not be claimed until it has been formally adopted by the journal. See Open Access & Licensing and Policy 22.

- Provide editable source material when requested during production.
